How my senior year is going. If you ask me it seems kind of strange, it's different than any other years I've faced. It's less stressful but more stressful at the same time. I have ambivalent feelings in the first quarter of this year. The workload for me is definitely less, but college preparation and deciding on where to go is very frustrating. I know that choosing a college is one of the biggest decisions of my life but choosing what to study for the next for years is an even bigger decision, because I do not feel like wasting money on a career that I am not going to purse. I would have to say that this year has been the most frustrating out of all of my high school years. Lacrosse letters from colleges, Coaches calling my house it gets to be too much at times. A matter of fact two weeks ago Mercyhurst college came to my house for a visit, they offered me a scholarship of $18,000 per year. It was one of the most memorable moments of my life. I've only seen situations like that in the movies but to have it happen to me was quite overwhelming. It has been two weeks since they have made the offer and I am still contemplating on what to decide it is an astonishing offer but my heart tells me to go to Syraucuse.
Syracuse is my dream school. It is the university that I have wanted to attend since I was 9 years old. I remember telling my father "that's what I want to do play lacrosse and go to school at Syracuse University. That would be a dream come true to make the lacrosse team of a premier school. I am so confused on what to do. It's just that choosing what you want to study in college seems so permanent, it's like you go to school for that and that's what your stuck with and I don't want to be one of those millions of people that are unhappy with their job.
I must say this is the most stress I've ever been under.

Tralfamadorian's view the universe in a way that is vastly different from our own. In your blog, please explain how the tralfamadorian's view the universe and the consequences associated with it. Discuss pros and cons, and whether or not Billy's mission to educate the public would be beneficial to society.
The Tralfmadorian's view of the universe is vastly different than our own, In their society they can see four dimensions. Which can be a good thing and also a bad thing. They have the ability to travel in time and choose which time period they live in. My personal opinion is that I would rather not live like this. Changing your past tells something about your character that I don't like. It's like changing your past means that your afraid to fail and if your afraid to fail then I think it means your ashamed of who you are. I believe that making mistakes is a part of learning, and if you cover up your mistakes it makes you look ashamed, and I believe that you should never be ashamed of something you do.

You'll pretend you were men instead of babies, and you'll be played in the movies by Frank Sinatra and John Wayne or some of those other glamorous, war-loving, dirty old men. And war will look just wonderful, so we'll have a lot more of them. And they'll be fought by babies like the babies upstairs" (Slaughter-House-Five, p. 14).
Do I agree whether movies help promote war. No I do not, the reason why I think this is because in the history of all wars the cause of the war was not because of some previous box seller movie. But because of some elaborate scheme to get more money, or to overthrow an unruly or unjust dictator. To be quite honest with you I think movies depict the anguish and distrought that is brought upon young soldiers and warriors throughout the world. The unimaginable scenarios of fellows brothers in the heat of battle protecting and fighting along with men and women they have not known of before but have developed a unique bond with and stand up for each other as if they were brothers and sisters. That's what I believe movies promote is the bonds and friendships that are made between two complete strangers in the heat of battle.

On October 1, 2006 I had a lacrosse tournament at the Hamburg Nike base. Besides the marshy, fields and the unpredictable wind, it was a great experience, playing for the Iroquois National U-19 team or junior team. The Iroquois team is a team filled with all Native players from all of the Haudenosaunee, or six nations. Which are the Tuscarora, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, and Mohawk. We faced competition from Western New York. The schools we faced was Hamburg, Frontier, St. Francis and a team from Saint Catherines Ontario called Dennis Morris. We were very sucessful in this tournament where we won all games and beat the teams by 5 goals or more. Although the lacrosse season is technically over, there is no offseason for most of the die-hard lacrosse players. This tournament was only the first of many that our team will participate in this fall. Many of the players on my team have been getting noticed by college lacrosse coaches. I have played for many teams in the past and not one has come close to this one, there is a unique sense of i pride i get playing for this Iroquois team. Myself being of the Haudenosaunee, the creators of the game of lacrosse.
